Lisa Allen
Welcome to Mahjongroc with me, Lisa Allen! A while back a friend invited me over for coffee and we started talking about Mahjong. She had recently started playing and wanted to recruit me! We'd had this conversation a few times before and I had always brushed it off. But on this particular afternoon I said, “Ok, tell me.”
She then proceeded to roll out a fancy mat and spill tiles onto it from a cute makeup-styled bag. She gave me a 15-minute overview, which involved a lot of questions from me and a lot of answers that sounded like, “well… sometimes…” from her. Somehow, I was hooked! That night I started searching Mahjong online and, well, if you're here, you know all about that rabbit hole!
Fast forward and here we are! I love teaching and sharing Mahjong. I love the community that has emerged as a result, the new friendships made along the way, and the rekindling of friendships from throughout the years.
I would love to share Mahjong with you! Whether you have never played and don't know a bam from a dot from a flower, or are looking to sharpen your skills and finally master the Charleston (is that even possible??), I'm here to help!
Get ready to Mahj today!

I knew nothing about Mahjong except my grandmother played. Lisa gives patient, supportive instructions whether it is one to one or in a group! I've started to like the game so much more, because of Lisa's lessons.
Lisa is an excellent Mahjong teacher! Her patient guidance, clear expectations, and thorough knowledge helped me gain confidence quickly. I highly recommend Lisa whether you are a beginner or looking to sharpen skills.
